Re: Roos ain't always cuddly!
#3 shows a roo in a manner I've never seen before - frightening.

Fascinating ... from a sort-wildlife/learning point of view.
As you may know, we don't get a lot of roos in Glenfarg! I never appreciated that they had claws on them like that one in #4 is displaying. And #3 makes an excellent job of showing what power and energy would be unleashed if it suddenly decided to take off towards you. Good ones.

Good work Ken, it's rare to see them show their mean side. That Boomer is ready to kick some but.

Ken, #3 was certainly carrying some serious attitude onboard.
Great photo's 3 & 4 Think it was a smart move to give them some distance

Love it Ken,
Over here we always warn, if an animal is not a house pet beware of it, it is wild and unpredictable: keep a safe distance.
Guess you don't keep Roo's as house pets?

Interesting series. That's the beauty of this sort of forum, you learn things you otherwise wouldn't. The trouble is they look intelligent with it (are they?).

Re: Roos ain't always cuddly!
Goodness, #3 certainly has a bodybuilder look to him! Quite intimidating! I always thought it was the legs and the tail you needed to watch out for, but those claws and muscles make me realize it's the whole package that's a worry.

Re: Roos ain't always cuddly!
Roos cuddly? I thought it was quite bizarr when I saw some American tv celebrity 'boxing' with a roo on his show. Once they get those short forearms around your neck, they lean back on their tails, and lift their powerful hindlegs up and slit you open from throat to belly. He probably would have been safer wrestling with a crocodile
And only a year or so back, roos invaded some property and the males were bashing the owners. Experts had to be called in to deal with the situation.
