    Horse of the BC Derby

A few photos of just the horses from the BC Derby and a couple with the jockey (because he was so happy)...

Overall I'm pleased with these even though the compositions are a little odd, with some parts clipped because many of these shots were taken while the horses were moving, not all.

I like #2,4 and #5, and #8 - however I'm not sure if #8 is in sharp enough focus and it is also a little odd.

I would appreciate any general C&C, ie; which images you prefer, and I would especially appreciate advice on my compositions. Thank you.

I like #3 & #5...I would PP them like you would PP portraits, sharpen the eyes and mane.

I like #3, too.... (And #8 is beginning to look very strange )

Thank you for the tip on PP which I will definitely try when I work on these...

    Christina,

They are all great shots, but I like #1 and #5 the best. The depth of field is awesome in all of them... you got the whole subject in sharp focus and the soft background colors compliment the horses without being a distraction.
