Glass Hunter
This gentleman is a glass hunter. Glass hunters comb beaches looking for bits of polished glass to use as jewelry.

Re: Glass Hunter
I like the image/scene as a whole but, as hindsight...a couple of steps to your left would have made
him parallel to your lens insuring good focus on the whole man, as his face is somewhat soft.
Additionally, the exposure is about 1 stop underexposed referencing the darker shadows.
Oftentimes when I'm doing people like that, I will offer them a print for their patience while I
experiment trying to get the image exactly the way I want it.

Re: Glass Hunter
Hi Chauncey, agree with your comments. I tried to fix everything you suggested except the angle of the shot -- I'll try again your suggestion in the future. In the past, when I've attempted to make people conscious of me taking their picture they always go into some pose that ruins the image for me (smiling face).

Re: Glass Hunter
I like the geometry of the composition, Karm, you could this guy in good pose. However, the picture feels a bit cramped to me. I wonder if it is the combination of the triangle in the square frame makes it too static? Perhaps a little more space to the left?
