    IJmuiden Harbor

A first post to the forum:

A part of our harbor, last Sunday in rather hazy weather.
Done with the Nikon D700+24mmPC-E (Tilt Shift) + tripod.

Pallet is very sharp but was that your intended subject?

Thank you Shadowman. There was no specific intended subject in this pict. It is just a general impression of a rather dreary looking area with no sun, no rain only some vague fog.

I always find that foggy day subjects need a sharp 'reference point'; otherwise they just seem poorly focused.

That sharp foreground with a hazy background nicely shows the whole scene in context.

    Thanks Geoff.
I found the wooden pallet doubly referencing: for sharpness and for color.
