I like the poppies, Joanne, I think this is a good WA shot, and although I think it would be better if the bldgs weren't in the bg, I can see how the roof of the bldg on the left reiterates the shape of the petals.

Very nice image. In this case, the large DOF of wide angle lenses works to your disadvantage, I think. I can't extract the exif to see what the aperture was. However, I suspect that if you opened the lens up a lot and focused close, you could keep the poppies in focus while blurring the buildings and making them attract the eye less.
