When I looked at this image the gloves looked like a pair of hands one had to put on before turning the ship's wheel. Comments welcomed.

Karm, this is an interesting photo. I wonder what those gloves are for. Maybe it to fend off the "creature" in the background that Dave mentioned.

Digital and Dave, the creature "looking in" is a diving mask for the Martian aliens who use this boat. These aliens evolved from insect like creatures and don't have hands -- thus the need for hand like gloves.
