Tamron SP 90mm F/2.8 Di MACRO 1:1 VC USD (LOVE IT!!!)

Hi all..i just wanna say...i'm no pro..and ive only had this lens for a week..and only taken about 500 images +-1 day...and i only have had kit lenses bfor this one...BUT I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! i havent had a chance at portrait images, only macro... but i love the fact that its all internal focusing..(NO barrel that comes out!!) i never use the auto focus..so cant judge..amazing sharpness...great bokeh, and VC works great..LOVE it...most pple say to pricey for 3rd party lens..i say..TAMRON out did itself on this macro lens.. anyone else got anything to add???

I use the Tamron 90mm f/2.8 AF SP Macro lens which is a couple of generations old. It is a very nice lens but is not internal focusing and the lens barrel moves in and out. The imagery of my lens is really quite good and I would not replace it but, internal focusing and VC would really add to the enjoyment of using the lens...

Hi Richard..yeh..i notice alot of pple take advice from alot reviews on internet(as i do at times).. this time i decided to follow a few magazine challenges on macro lenses, and there opinions. I figured..hey ..they get to test all the lenses at once and then judge..where most reviews on internet are only one 1 personal lens. In the end i have to be honest..i think we all look way to much into it.. no one is going to try sell you a bad lens (Bad for business)..we all crop..post process..create miracles..and eventually get where we think we should be. I'd just like to give Tamron a one up on this one..cos i think its worth the pinch

I have the same lens, Sony mount, and like you very happy with it.
Bang for bucks I don't think you can go too far wrong with this lens.
You will have a lot of fun with it Claudio.
