    Well captured Jack.

    Whilst the second shot has more impressive lightning, the first shot is more interesting to me because of the presence of the old barn, and it's position relative to the lightning bolt.

    Jack I love those images, the first one is brilliant. Looks like it was a pretty rough night.
    The first is my favourite, I love the dark purple's of the moody sky and the old shed is a great point of interest in the image.
    The only thing I might suggest and of course this is just personal preference, is to crop about an inch off the left of the image keeping the same aspect ratio then it brings the shed more off centre in the photo.
    Hope you don't mind but I downloaded your photo to have a play with it, did the crop and I also lightened the bottom right corner a little using the dodge tool.
    I reckon you have a real wall hanger there. Great work.

    A couple of crackers (pardon the pun). My only thought is that you could lose the lightning bolt on the extreme right of the first image but only because it draws the eye from the main event. I agree, the first one is a definite wall hanger.
