I think this is my favorite so far of your photos. I can't quite pin point why, but something about this shot just appeals to me more than your others, which have all been interesting and well done. I just love this man's expression!

I love your coverage of the storekeepers and porters and other less than top economic group people. These folks are seldom covered by photographers.
I often wonder what the home-life of these somewhat poor people is in an expensive area like Dubai...

Thanks guys. This guy took a bit of persuasion for his photograph, but as soon as I rounded the corner and saw him I thought it was a good opportunity. Luckily during the periods of persuasion, if they occur, generally nothing really happens and no-one moves so the original pose is maintained. In many other cultures you'd lose the moment.
I'm starting to feel as if I've covered these areas of town enough, shooting in this style. Time for another challenge. Zone focusing and shooting candidly is not really an option - I don't get out during the day as it's too hot and it's still uncomfortable at night. I'd be shooting at f11-f16 and ISO 12800 or 25600 (I've tried and had to compromise with f8 and ISO 4000-6400 and the DoF at 35mm is not enough to get many keepers) at night if that were the case, which would mean a complete change in output. I'll have to try during the daytime and see how it goes. Or wait until it's cooler and take a strobe and modifier (and assistant/fellow street photographer, which may be inspirational in itself)
