    Hummingbird #4

This time I used the canon 40D and 300 f/4L , wide open at f/4 and ISO 1250. SS 1/2000s. This is a full frame shot(almost no crop ) at 5 feet distance.(close as my lens will focus)

Thanks guy's.............hatem, getting real close, f/4, and some distance between the subject and background, creates that nice smooth blur.

Lovely pictures. I saw all the hummingbird photos you have posted. This one is my favorite... the sharpness, color in the bird and the background colors are just gorgeous.

Great series Steve . I am having trouble with noise when I jack my iso up. So I have been shooting low iso& low speed.

Thanks james, don't be afraid of the ISO. Get a good exposure and add some noise reduction in post.
