Helpful Posts: Yesterday I was in a plant nursery to buy some plants, and noticed there a beautiful orchid, as I have always my little Fuji XF1 as a " always with me camera " in my handbag, I was ready to take a photo, but found the background was just to busy with other plants, so I was with the orchid in on hand and the XF1 in the other, looking around for a " background " found then at long last a black box, so put the orchid before the box, and here is the resulting photo, hope somebody like it ?

Looks really nice, Griddi. Well done. I especially like that the one flower on the left is dominant and we can see a lot of detail.

Very nice surprised the background wouldn't go into shadows with the use of flash.

John...... thank you for looking, perhaps the background turned out without shadows, as I had the exposure compensation set to minus 2, although the advise is always to turn exposure compensation off, when using flash, but I tried it anyway.......

A lovely shot good thinking to remove the plant from busy background
and achieve isolation.
