    Waiting For Sunrise

Here's a shot I took in the fall. People seemed to like a similar one I placed in a mini-comp, so I thought I'd see how you like this one. Any comments, suggestions or edits gratefully accepted. thanks for viewing.

Very nice indeed Kevin. Love the colours and the mist and the fence post and bales add considerable interest to the image.

A lovely shot, Kevin. Great tones and warm light. The only thing I might consider is removing the leaf on the fence post, and if there was a second shot with a little separation between the fence post and the treeline, without compromising the hay bales on the left of the image.

    Thanks, Dave and Phil.

Phil, I noted the lack of separation when I first opened this thing and berated myself for having not seen it when I composed it. No, I have no other shots.

Now that leaf has become a bit of a pet. I've have played with it (enhanced and removal) enough that I feel an odd attachment to it. I am no longer objective. I'll process yours and any other opinions in that regard. Thanks for your sharp eye and taking time to comment.

Kevin, I really like this photograph. It is IMHO a very peaceful scene.

I like this shot, only thing, my eye keeps seeing the wire in the lower portion of the photo but not so much the wire on the left of the post. I know it's part of the post, so it makes it acceptable. Nice, unusual shot at any rate. Makes me want to take a walk through it.

Beautiful, soft light. I love pastoral scenes, and this is a lovely example.

PS I like the red leaf!

This is a lovely shot Kevin. I liked the version in the mini comp. I have to agree with the suggestions above and I would lose the leaf but these are minor points. The colours, the comp and particularly the exposure are just about on the button. Very nice image.

    Thanks, John

the no votes on my little leaf have reached a critical mass, so I'll make a version sans leaf and have a look. No promises.. I'll let the spirit move me.
