I am now a Pentax Shooter

    Hi all,

Well I have finally got around to making the move to Pentax, which is the camera that I have wanted from the beginning of my DSLR adventure. I went to Nikon first as that is what impatience to get my hands on a DSLR presented me. Anyways I now own a Pentax K-30 with the Sigma 17-70mm lens and have included a couple of my first photos.

    Cheers

You'd better change your CiC signature then, Jason.

Or are you still too busy crying after that rather large defeat at Lord's?!?

Ah, thank you for the heads up, all taken care of.

No, no tears here, you could see this coming a mile away, it is more resignation than tears

    Cheers

Are these single exposures or blends? I'm not saying that it's a problem either way, but in #1 the scale of the clouds near the horizon looks as if it's layered from a different exposure, plus slight haloing around the horizon (but that could be from the selection in PS to saturate the sky?)

Oooh that's below the equator !

A couple of nice images Jason. I particularly like the first one. Shadows look to be a bit blocked but that's easy to remedy if you agree. Enjoy your new camera.

After years of gloating, anyone from that area below the equator needs to take a few below the equator!

Jason take no notice of these sledging poms, let them enjoy it while they can. And besides, we still have the rugby ... oops, no we don't do we

That's a good start with the Pentax, both nice images but the second is my favourite. It might just be me but the first looks like it's a bit over-saturated.

    Happy shooting.

    Hey Guys,

Thanks for the comments, the first one is a single image and yes I think I have been a bit heavy handed with the saturation, I was trying to make it a nice bright image with a bit of pop. I applied the final touches using NIK Viveza.

    Cheers
