    Hummingbird...

Here is how I spent my morning today. Sitting on the ground between my gas grill and screened porch waiting as the day got hotter and hotter waiting for this bird. Finally it showed it's pretty face and I captured these images. Not perfect yet, first try... still working on the technique. I think it is a female Ruby Throated Hummingbird. C&C welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Very nice and the bokeh is so smooth in the fourth image. Which lens were you using?

If you are still working on your "technique", I would love to see your pics when you perfected it.

Lovely! Joe, what speed did you shoot at to freeze the hummingbirds wings like that?

Nicely done. Really like the angle of the bird in the last one.

Very nice/ I actually attempted my first Hummingbird pictures this weekend myself. They were at a feeder. I had a lot of fun. Will post some soon.

Hello Haseeb, thank you for viewing and commenting. The lens was Nikon's 70-300mm, shot from about 15 feet at 300mm.

Hello Bruce, thank you for commenting. Yup, still working on the exposure. I need a sunny day to bring out the colors better and lower ISO. Watching the bush during the day afternoons are the best light, I shot these in the morning.
