    Tonka baby!

Well, my parents still had my tonka truck from when i was a kid, when i was 4 years old my parents bought me one, and one day my dad told my brother and sisters that if they dont put their toys away and leave it on the lawn when he mows its going in the bin, so he did it and told everyone, and me being at that age i didnt understand, and when dad went to get it out for me the garbage man already came. he felt so bad he went out andgot me another one, this one. Every kid should have a tonka!

I think they've lost some of their character over the years. I once found a four-piece set in pristine condition at a tag sale. I regret letting some children play with them. They were completely demolished inside four months.

Most kids these days want something with an electric motor.

These make great colorful subjects, Allen, but in this shot I would apply a bit of fill light - the tyres, chassis and cab are a bit too lost in the background for me.

+1 from me. Might have been easier against a lighter BG provided you could control the shadows.

Allen, never had Tonka toys it was Meccano in my days. I like the black background with it but agree that a slight bit of fill light needed.

Try posting it a bit larger, 1200 pix wide

Does that bring back memories. I had a Tonka military Jeep when I was a kid. 45-50 years ago. Thanks for bringing back those memories.

Do those YN’s work for you? Are you happy with it?

    Nice capture, great contrast.

Andre, Tonka trucks were and still is great. The YN's are great, i will reccomend the yn-560iii's to anyone who is on a budget, starting out to get get them. I have 3 yn-460's, 1 yn-560ii and 2 yn-560iii. I gathered them over a period of a year.

    Allen,
Now I want to see all of the reflection of the truck. Go back and do it again!

Thanks Allen, I am in the market for a second flash (Manfred is to blame).
