This female was gathering grass for the nest she was constructing. She is sitting on a cattail head that has gone to seed. Though she was amid numerous very colorful male Yellow Headed Blackbirds, I thought she was particularly interesting.

Good Capture. The highlights in the cattail head could be pulled back a bit but that's picky.
