    More Dragonflies...

I captured these last week and have since finished working them up. More dragonflies now than birds in the marsh. C&C welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

They look fine, Joe. The only Dragons that I have found so far this year are a couple of Broad-bodied Chasers.

Hello Geoff, thank you for viewing and commenting. I am not familiar with the Broad-bellied Chasers, but I will look them up.

    Excellent captures.

Probably not hot enough here yet and have seen only 2 or 3.

Thanks Bobo, I appreciate you commenting. Too hot here, the dragons did not start appearing until it was hot.

I do have a photo of a female Broad-bodied Chaser in the Insects thread, Joe. http://i42.tinypic.com/2wqtm9z.jpg

Found another 2 yesterday but struggled to find a decent camera angle.

Not sure if the Dragons are going to appear here in any number this year due to the excessively cool UK weather. Although there are quite a few Damselflies in some sheltered locations.

Wow, I have never seen one with such a thick abdomen, definitely different. Quite attractive, I would love to photograph one. Thank you for sharing your post.
