    Water Lily No. 5

    I struggle with trying to get the details in whites. The background was a little dark so I did some editing in Photoshop Elements. I liked the little bits of orange and yellow tucked between the pads and the rain drops.

    Having issues posting the EXIF data with the pic. So here it is:

    HI Ali- I like the composition. Did you meter for the white area? The yellow in the center of the flower appears really bright to me-maybe bring it down a bit and the white might just pop out more. Good photo- keep at it!--mary

    Thanks Mary,

    I'll try your suggestion of lowering the brightness of the yellow.
