Sprucing up for a heavy date

A Crimson Rosella taking advantage of an out door 'bathing facility' we set up in the yard for the local bird life. We think he scrubbed up pretty well.
Thanks for viewing and for any comments fed back.

    A very interesting looking bird.

The first three photos have blue on the inside of the bird bath. Is it reflection from the blue on the bird? The fourth shot has a very sharp image of the bird; he/she appears to have its eye on you.

Thank you for the feedback Bruce. It is actually a trick of the light due to the finish they put on the bird bath which, from the right angle, gives this bluish translucent reflection effect. It is a bit like observing a rainbow that if you move around the bath the apparent bluish hue moves around with you. Visually pleasing, but quite odd.

I envy you access to birds with such colour. Our locals seem more intent on hiding than showing off.

He did clean up well and does look pleased with himself. However he might think about cutting back on the beer as he seems to be tilting the birdbath a bit.

Love to have that colour flying around the garden. Interesting images.
