    Went out to shoot this morning in a heavy fog,this is what I got.

    Hi Bill. Nice image. I like to fish rivers and lakes and I think you really nailed this image's background light. I've seen this lighting many times.

    Overall I like this shot. Really love the upper half. Not crazy about the bottom portion but not being great at landscapes I'm not sure I have much to offer. Maybe a longer ss to soften it a bit to match the mood of the rest of the image?

    Back home they say "even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while". In other words, those few that I've posted are the one of a thousand that I capture that are worth sharing in public. The one type of landscape that I have concentrated on enough to develop a reasonable degree of proficiency is moving water. But for living in a state full of mountains, they still elude me for some reason

    On the system that I'm on I can't see the edited version that you posted. I'll check it out tonight.

    Actually I think the overall sense of the foggy morning is better captured in the first version. It is a very moody image. IMO landscapes should ilicit a feeling from the viewer and you accomplished that. I can feel myself on the bank of a creek on a foggy morning.
