Nice photographs.

I'd say that 200-400 handled it well in the hands of a master. Very nice. Especially the last!
WOW. Really, really nice, Monte. The detail in the first one is insane. Well processed, too.
Seems like you must be able to get pretty close to all of your bird of prey subjects, to have such detail from a 400mm.
Monte, viewed at full size these are spectacular!!!!!
Top shelf , monte!!! Very well done.
Monte, thank you for replying with this info. Seeing that I am super interested in wildlife photography and trying to learn as much as I can, getting some kind of boat is now on my list based on the images you've been showcasing. (First, a more out-doorsey car will be needed though) The last shot is superb. Thanks for sharing such inspiring images and your experiences.
3,2 then 1 in that order for me but only because the background in 1&2 is a bit busy - but why wouldn't it be. Great photography.
Wow, stunningly beautiful images of a beautiful bird. Thank you for sharing.
Very nice set Monte,
Well done,
Wow. That closeup is sure something.
Really nice set, Monte. You nailed the techs on all of these. Ya gotta love that 200-400. That last portrait shot in post #11 edges out the rest IMO. It's hard to have a bad day spent in the company of these guys. Even if you come away without a shot it's one heck of a fun time much less when you make these kind of captures. Nicely done.
