    12. I believe this is THE perfect postcard pix. When I saw it while driving I actually let out a scream and jammed the breaks. I nearly missed this place. It is secluded and blocked by firs along the road and the layover for the cars to stop is at a turn of a long stretch of winding road.

    14. The last night in East Glacier. I was hoping to shoot the aurora over the Canadian border. I went alone into bear country at 10:30pm. The weather was bad ... dark clouds, no aurora, the freezing cold was biting me, I was hopping in the middle of the road to keep warm (only 2 cars passed me in 3 half hours) and then a bit concern a bear might hover over me while I hover over the view finder. I packed up and when back to the motel where everyone was already enjoying the warmth of the bed

    Hi Nat,

when my daughter graduates in 2 years time I hope to make it to the deserts. Arizona and Utah sounds possible even though we already decided we would make it to the Grand Canyon. Thanks for the compliments.

Dave, I have to thank you. The first two pixs I did a slight mid tone contrast using the "Levels" that you showed me.

Lakes, mountains, and beautiful skies --- what could be better? Great job!

I agree with you about #12 - the colors and the reflection are very pretty.

Grahame, Susan thanks for the view and comments. Personally I have not come across such natural beauty.

These few photos were taken in West Glacier. Going to the sun road was still closed so we took the slightly longer south route that gave a different vista.

yes, Glacier Nat. Park is a beauty.

I believe NZ has some amazing landscapes herself. Trey Ratcliff has shown some amazing landscape of NZ since he moved there.

Nice imgery here. Glad you enjoyed your visit. We keep pledging to ourselves to visit Glacier and something always gets in the way. This had definately renewed my resolve to get there. Thanks for posting.

    Hi Dan

It was a wonderful stay and we are already looking forward to our next planned trip when our third, who is our daughter graduates. I am glad that the images renewed your resolve to visit that pretty place.

Our visit to Yellowstone was not in the initial itinerary. But, with most of Glacier Nat. Park still closed, we left earlier and had some extra days which we used to visit Yellowstone and Mt Rushmore.

    21. Old Faithful
This was shot at about 10:30pm. The ambient light of the hotels around old faithful gave that warm colour. This is so mainstream of Yellowstone that this was the only time we were there.

    22. Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.
This was shot from Artist Point. There are many places that you could view Grand Canyon, but this vantage point is not to be missed. In my opinion, it is the best.
