Birds and More from the last couple of days...

I captured these last Friday and Saturday mornings. Working them up is an ongoing process but I think they are ready to post, till I see something I want to change. I apologize for the length of the post but it was a couple of wonderful mornings in the field. C&C welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Juvenile Barred Owl, we saw this owl from the other side but the light was terrible, deep shadows. We walked underneath the owl (without making eye contact or looking up) moving until the light was in our favor.

Wild Turkey Hen, this hen stepped out of the vegetation next to us protecting her chicks by trying to draw our attention to her.

#2... this is when you can focus on the eye otherwise forget it and use depth of field to put the eye in focus.

Yes, as always very nice indeed. My favourites are the white pelican, the anhinga (amazing capture) and that croc is a true beauty as portrayed in your photo.

Wow, what a variety of subject matter. Love the anhinga, the dragons, and the gator. Really a funny colored gator.

Hello Dan, thank you for viewing and commenting. Florida is very birdy, lots of different types. Actually there is more I did not post. I was only out about two and a half hours. The alligator is a juvenile, they stay mottled and turn black when adults. It must be camouflage until becoming so big nothing messes with them.

Hello Joe: You certainly did have a very good day in the field. It is a pleasure to view these shots and I'm running out of adjectives to describe how much I like them.
