Finally did the shoot with my nieces

So, I finally got this shoot done and it went ok I think. I got a few good ones I think. Unfortunately, not many of the pup came out that well. 3 month old puppy in a park for an amateur like me, was an impossibility. I know I have a lot to learn still, and I think my biggest struggle is with lighting. Would love some thoughts on these few of my favorites.

I'm no portrait expert but they look pretty good to me, particularly the second and third shots.

I like the 3rd and 4rth best. I really like the expressions you caught, and those lavender flowers make a nice background.

Lovely photos Annette. Beautiful light and colour, and precious captures. I especially adore #2 for the light and expression, followed by 3 and 6.

    Hi Annette,A
very nice set of pictures; lovely 'models'
The third picture made me think about a tighter crop and bringing more attention to the girls eyes; something like this, hope you don't mind.
    Thanks for sharing.

Thanks John, and yes, making the eyes pop makes a big difference.

Not yet John, We have been running all day today. I was thinking about printing a few out this evening. I still have to burn a cd for my sis in law as well. I was so bummed that maybe one of the pup came out really well. But for my liking, not one I thought was good enough to share. My sis in law loved them all and that's all that matters. "Sweet Pea" is a 3 month old Blue Tick Beagle and the cutest little thing, but totally rambunctious! It was tough, even with my new zoom lens I got, I would even get down on her level a ways a way from her and she darted for me every time!

They do seem to know when you are paying attention to them, makes for enjoyable moments but frustration when pursuing the photography.
