Wonderful sky.
I'd be tempted to try a little dodging on the darker areas of the land to bring up just a little more detail. I'm sure it wasn't that dark as you viewed the scene. The hostogram shows that there is very, very little that's at pure black, so there is detail in there that could be recovered.

Blake, I like the second image better too but not just for the clouds - in the first picture I found the gate in the bottom right too dark and therefore a distraction. The detail in the second photo gives another piece of light in the picture.
