    It's hot outside and I'm bored....

    So, I went through some pictures that I took before I graduated to a dSLR. The idea was to delete a lot of them (which I did) but then I stumbled on a series that I wasn't sure about.
    I picked one of them and started playing with it.
    Here are a few results of my boredom.

    First: the original JPG ooc: Not really the greatest picture, but I did see some potential for what I had in mind:
    It's hot outside and I'm bored....

    And here are 2 edits - I'm not sure which one I eventually want to keep. I used the bas-relief filter and NIK SilverFX. (I have a slight preference for #2).
    Then messed around with blending modes until I hit on something I liked.
    C&C welcome of course - you can even tell me they're awful.

    Kris,
    I liked the composition of the colour photo (I would crop the right side), but the focus is not good.
    Comparing the monochromes photos, I prefer #2.

    I totally agree with the focus issue - I learned a lot since I took this picture.
    But in my own idea, it worked well in the monochrome edits.
