    Fantastic images!!! Bravo.

This white border however really annoys me and distracts my eye. Consider turning it black.

    hi Monte,
I like both shots, but particularly #1. He has a beautiful profile, and the light coming from in front brings out the iridescent colours behind his eye. He appears very still (no wake behind), and is looking nicely into the space to the right. The fine herringbone pattern on his wing appears quite clear and his slightly out of focus rump keeps the attention on his more pleasing attributes. Would you mind sharing settings, and details of any post processing?

RAW file processed in LightRoom. Slight sharpening applied and cropped to create a more pleasing composition.

Stunning! The green background colour complements this bird perfectly.

Great shots. The GWT is very difficult to shoot. I've been trying to get a good photo for years. Great job. Well done!!

That's where the kayak really helps. I was able to drift up close to it and combined with the 600 you can get shots otherwise probably not possible. I was well beyond the birds comfort zone.
