Rim Lighting
I got this shot, only to later discover that it had what is called "rim lighting". I did not take the shot because it was, mostly because I was drawn to unique lighting that I liked. What is better darker or lighter for this type of situation. I pp both ways, not sure I like better. I like each one and feel each one has a certain mood, however, I feel the lighter version offers more to the viewer. Would love to hear CC and any other input on rim lighting. Thanks

Re: Rim Lighting
Nice shot, tom. A combination of both, would be a real winner.

Re: Rim Lighting
I can only see one shot, I think it is the second one, but that is a cracker.
I would be very pleased with something like that.

Re: Rim Lighting
Thanks all, I was very pleased with both outcomes. I have been following these fellas every day for over a month now, one of my favorite gifts from them was this shot. Morning is so fresh and new, surely my favorite part of the day. Especially when I have my camera around
Sorry for deleting the image, not intended. Once I uploaded the file on google's server it posted it to my G+ account despite never making it public on my blog. I had a bunch of files appearing that wanted out of my account so I deleted it off of my G+ account which then in turn deleted it off of my blog's server. I guess they are pushing it to be all in the same these days. Just an FYI in case anyone cared to know.
