What becomes of the broken hearted

10 months ago my lovely girl was devistated when her boyfriend of 2 years finished their relationship out of the blue, without warning on the eve of her School speech day when she took over as Head Girl and had to do a reading in the priory in front of 400 people about "Love". She held it together - all day untill I put her in the car where she broke down and sobbed all the way home. Today she faced him for the first time in 10 months when a mutual friend had an 18th birthday - she phoned me a short while ago and said, it's ok I'm over him and Iv'e moved on......all he can do is stare at me.....I wonder why......These are 2 photos I took of them when they were together when we took them to London.........Love hurts....doesn't it!

I have to believe that part of the reason your daughter has been able to keep everything in perspective has to do with her mother. Good job on all fronts, Mom!

Thanks Mike, I think we've all been there at some time whether on the giving or recieving end and all I did was to be there for her just to listen and give the most amazing hugs only a Mum can give.

I am sure that both of these young people will find other loves. However, I am very unsure that he will ever be able to find a more lovely gal than your daughter! She just radiates beauty...

Beautiful images Joanne and a heart warming story. As a parent, you know you have done well when they survive these things and they come out the other side a stronger person for it...it's just hard watching them find their way through it.
