Spring Stroll ( abstract) ..C&C welcomed

Still refining the 'look' but am happy with this.
Would appreciate your thoughts.

It's the lines and the shapes created by them, that strike you about this one.

Thanks Donald,
Yes I stripped it back to shapes and the trees looked so delicate and painterly when I did. Was tempted to leave it in Black and White but when I shot through some colour and saw how it landed I knew that it whispered 'Spring' and had to stay.
A real learning curve but lots of fun.

It's interesting that this says "spring time" to you and "winter time" to me. Regardless, I like it. The splotches of color work perfectly with the relatively large, plain areas of the image.

Thanks Mike
If it was a 'Winter stroll' in Scotland there would be no colour whatsoever.

I like it a lot. Just curious, but why do you call them abstracts? To me, they look like impressions.

Sharon,
Not my favorite of the set but it did make me think OK Computer- Raidohead straight away.
Hope that is a compliment..
Robbie.

Christina that is very nice of you to say, thank you immensely!
Robbie, indeed it is a compliment...thanks.
Karm, That is a very good question!
I think I refer to this lot as abstracts because I am largely reducing them to 'shapes'..recognisable ones I agree.
It seperates them ( in my head at least) from the 'Third person Singular' set which is most definately Impressionist.
Hark at me...they are all just 'pictures' and am more than happy that they are liked by some enough to view and comment!

Abstracts. Impressions. Labels...who needs them?
