Beaver Marsh, Cuyahoga National Park
This is a neat area. A wood walkway takes you into the middle of a beautiful marsh. I often fish this area for jumbo bluegill. Comments welcomed.

Re: Beaver Marsh, Cuyahoga National Park
Looks like a great place to return to regularly- I'd especially love to take advantage of some low lying fog there.
A CPL filter wouldn't have helped with this particular shot given the sun position, but that marshy area would frequently yield some nice polarized images. That water looks clear enough to get some good penetration. A ND filter may have helped here.
Thanks for sharing this, Karm. You're getting me in "the mood"- I've not been out anywhere interesting for a while

Hi Kevin. I tried some software filters and it didn't add anything I wanted to keep. I'll try a software ND filter.

Re: Beaver Marsh, Cuyahoga National Park
Hi Karm,
I like the way the seed heads of the long grass pick up the light as they are backlit by the sun.
You've done well with the exposure and edit considering the harsh daylight conditions!
Good place to play!

Definite improvement. The water and the clouds might yet have a little more detail squirreled away. I added 2 gradient adjustment layers, one each for water and sky to try and tone down the highlights.

Kevin, I think your photo is too dark -- at least for my taste. In your picture I have a hard time deciphering the time of day. Please leave it up and maybe others will comment on both of our images.

Thanks Hans. I go to this location often. Each season it tells a different story that I have tried to record. Also, it's in my backyard (not literally, I live five minutes away).
