    It depends on what you are shooting. If you could post one of your images, it would be a bit easier to comment.

    Here are some images I took about 10 days ago with animals in the snow, starting with a fox:

    The day was quite gray and overcast, so just about ideal for shooting animals.

    gorgeous shots Manfred..

    Rain owl... for the few shots that I have that I like that I have taken in the snow, I've always upped the exposure compensation until the snow looks white and used center weighted metering.
