Very cool shot! Great timing, excellent gesture, and I like the B&W treatment and square crop. However, I think the gritty effect is a little over the top, since it makes the grass into a constant high-contrast zone. Might try blurring the grass a bit.

Great shot. I second Lex's suggestion for the grass. It's go a couple of degrees of clockwise rotation- wasn't sure if that was intentional-might be a good idea to keep or add a couple more degrees for an even more dynamic effect. Well done!
