Too bad you weren't able to include all of the bird's left foot. Consider cropping on the left to eliminate the distracting bright light.
The cooled down hot spot appears unnatural to me. You apparently feel that it's important for the three rods of metal to converge. I don't, as the mind knows that they will converge even when the convergence isn't displayed.
I'm not sure the rods work here. They're leading my eye right off the frame. However, I do like the irony of the bird looking into the cage keeping you away from the edge.I like the pigeon with the city in the background, but to my mind, the photo would be stronger if the rods weren't there at all.
