    Bald Eagle L&D14

My BE shooting has not been very successful this season. Here is one I got a few weeks ago along the Mississippi River at Lock & Dam 14, LeClaire, Iowa. The eagle has just caught a fish but it's hidden in this view. The sunlight shows off the detail of the BE's feathers. This is a cropped view.

    500mm f/4, 1/1600 sec, f/7.1, ISO 400.

Great work Paul, I would be very proud of that if I were you. What a magnificent bird at the top of the food chain. My only thoughts of improving it is to crop the wall off the top so it doesnt have that man made influence allowing a completely wild look. Love it.

Absolutely lovely shot and even better with Wayne's crop suggestion. I would think that a rop just above the wing tip would do it.

    Great shot Paul,

I agree with the "crop the top" suggestions, but to remove the man made aspect, I think you only need remove the lighter part of the wall, anything more takes the wing tip too near the edge of the image for my taste.

    Cheers,
