I have already given the you tube link where i saw the review. Infact I'm not planning to shoot videos at all. May be short clips rarely . Even then, what I think is, less faults as possible when I get an upper end crop sensor DSLR body, which I can use for some years and even more before I can graduate to a Pro model DSLR full frame.

Just to add another bit of advice; generally it is a good idea to turn the autofocus (and auto aperture off) while shooting a video clip. Having your lens seeking focus or stopping down while shooting is definitely a sign of an amateur shot.

The problem with most still lenses is that they are really not particularly set up well as video lenses. Autofocus motors for still cameras use stepper motors and in proper video lenses, they use linear motors. Video lenses do not have click stops and have infinitely variable apertures throughout the range. The only still camera lens that I am aware of that has a linear focus motor is the Panasonic Lumix 14mm-140mm lens; so far as I know, neither Nikon nor Canon have one.

I would tend to disagree with the previous comments; DSLRs shoot reasonably good quality video and you will have to spend a lot more money on a dedicated video camera that comes close to what a modern DSLR can produce. That being said, one needs to add some accessories for serious shooting; mostly with regard to focus, zoom and sound capture.

    Hi Dear Manfred,

I persume, Mr Burger's comment has made me a video grapher rather than what I like to be (a photo graher)
Thanks for that comment and in fact i have already given that you tube link where I saw that review about the sound in D5200. and more over I'm not interested in video shoot after all and I might just be shooting tiny clips rarely when it comes to videos.. So, I will think of still cameras for the time being and no video cams at all. Let me add, all these above comments are really usefull what i feel and I'm trying to digest all of them, piece by piece.

    Thanks and expecting more

    Hari :-)
