    field of gold

Sunrise and a snow covered field. It was very cold morning, minus 20C approximately,so the air was free of any humidity or suspended dust. Consequently the light of the sun was this colour even as it cleared the horizon. The slight flare of light is due to thin ice fog over the field.

Not an overly artistic image but maybe of interest.

I would have said that was a seascape, Trevor.

The only problem which I have, is with those out of focus twigs at the bottom. For me, they need to be sharply focused or not there.

I fully agree. I was in the process of removing them (they did extend almost to the centre) when I realized that I would probably never take this image further then this in terms of printing or publishing; so I quit. Post processing is not my forte. But they will have to be cloned or cropped to do anything more.

Wide pano cut from just about the twigs and you have gold.

    Lovely golden tones and textures.

Hope you don't mind - could not resist.

I like it, Trevor. The textures are very nice and the color makes me want to just raise my face to the warmth of the sun.

Better be wearing a parka. The sun is an insipid wane thing on the horizon on December 12. But it does look warm in this image.

I have never seen light like that. And if I have to get up that early in the morning to brave such cold weather, I probably never will.
