    Umbrellas

    Hi all. I got a couple of shoot through umbrellas and was wanderin if I can convert them into a 2 in 1 umbrella by throwing over black fabric to use it as a reflected umbrella

    Only if that black fabric has a reflective surface on the inside. If you're just using a sheet, or some other type of fabric, you'll get a bit of bounce, but most of it will be absorbed. Umbrellas usually have a specific cover that fit over them to reflect the light.

    Thank you andrew, i think i will just fork out a bot of money and a couple of 2-in01 umbrellas

    Allen, You can usually get umbrellas at pretty reasonable prices on eBay (I assume that eBay.aus has them). I have collected most of mine that way...
