    Nice clarity and detail on these images Jack. If you use Lightroom 4 for post processing you could open the shadows and lighten the exposure on the head of the Kingfisher so that the eye and some detail would show.

    Hello Jack. Nice Light on #2, the bird has a warning look, or is it just the sun in its eye? The first one would gain from a little lightening on the shadowed regions. Nice catch.
