    Jesmond Dene

A good friend and I took a wander through Jesmond Dene this afternoon with a couple of bags of camera kit, thermals, coats, hats, gloves, money in our back pockets for a coffee and even a couple of tripods.

Light was awful but its was pretty none the less.

Mix of Samsung Galaxy Camera and Pentax K30.

Robin, I particularly like the Falls. You did a good job of making the falling water smooth while keeping some detail in the stream above and below. Just a very nice image.

Vey nice images... What or who is Jesmond Dene? We have a Jesmond Dene Road near my home and I always assumed that was named after someone locally...

A dene is a narrow valley, a hollow, so this is the one at Jesmond, a suburb of Newcastle upon Tyne. If I got it right, the dene is a public park there.

Links above but yes it's a Dene (valley) in Jesmond (suburb in Newcastle upon Tyne) with a pets corner, old water mill and a series of falls.
Haven't been for years, forgot all about it to be honest but I'll be back.
