    Call me -- Code Yellow

Taken at Southern Cross Railway Station, Melbourne. What caught my eye were the shapes and colours.

Nicely done. Sharp, colourful of course, reflections well controlled. Dang nice.

I think I might want to try to remove the sign on the back wall that says "Now Open". It doesn't add anything and my eye gets drawn to it.

I agree with Didace about the "now open" sign. I wonder if you have a photo made by moving to the right that allowed you to perhaps omit that sign and the telephone. I dislike that the phone adds distracting colors to the image and that it breaks up the nice pattern of lockers.

I see the recurring rectangular geometry , the floor tiles , the ends of the lockers , the locker doors , the windows ,the windows in the background biulding, and the panels in the overhead awning or drop, and the general shape of the pay phone. To me the colors were just a nice bonus. A pleasantly capturing image for a mundane scene. I like it.

Thank you. It was the basically the shapes which were delineated by their colours which caught my eye. Probably from my having just reread an article by Ken Rockwell on framing and composing shots.

I think the sign can stay, too much surgery needed anyway to remove it. But do remove that brown bit in the lower left corner of the sign and that partial bench.

What article? Share the url please.

Removing the sign definitely helped. I love the screaming colors.

I like the phone in the image... It adds contrast to the rectangular yellow lockers... I played with cropping this in many different styles and they all seem to look good... It seems to me that this is an image from which many different images could result!
