Thanks for the reply in the intro thread

An interesting couple of shots, am I correct in thinking the background of No.2 was deliberately lined up that way?
Not sure if No.2 is a tad over exposed? It may just be me.

I see from the EXIF on the first one you have Elements 6 (welcome to 'the club').
I wondered whether No.1 would be improved by a twaek of perspective to straighten things up.

Hi Emma,

Since you're going to be with us for a while, can I encourage you to click on COMMUNITY above, and create an album for yourself. Attachment space is pretty limited and if you delete an old image to make room for something new then it disappears from the assocuated posts (which kinda breaks things around here).

PS: If you'd like a name change to something a bit cooler like "Emma", just let me know

I like the first photo very much, the DOF is well controlled in my view. The 2nd one seems a bit over exposed. I am also not very sure where the focus is, seems at the bottom.
