Re: White Horse/Mt. Pilchuck Panorama
Thanks Mike, I am hooked and am looking into some basic gear for my tripod. I cut off about 2 inches in height because of an out of level base.
Paul, got any ideas for Sunsets in the area. As I was sitting at my computer tonight the fog burned off and that was the most intense Sunset I have seen and am sure this weekend will not disappoint, with the inversion holding the pollutants down
. I thought somewhere around Edmonds maybe??

Nice image Jon, good subtle light on the mountains. I get envious of you guys and your snow-capped mountains
Was it stitched from a few shots ?

Re: White Horse/Mt. Pilchuck Panorama
Jon, from Edmonds if the fog is right and you shoot with you Telephoto You can get a nice shot of the Brothers, the two big peaks on the Olypic Range. Or you can go wide and include the water but there is little to no intrest in it. The ferry runs infront of the brothers close to were the sun downs this time of year. Might stop in there myself.
Go towards the ferry landing, there is a park at the end of the road that crosses the train tracks as if you were going to Anthony's restraunt.

Re: White Horse/Mt. Pilchuck Panorama
Thanks Dave. I missed the best light that morning, I was heading down into the valley to shoot some barns with these mountains in the back, but as soon as I headed down I realized the valley floor was fogged in so I raced to the next destination, just about 5 minutes late setting up.
Three photos on a full frame sensor 42 inches by 12.5 inches

Re: White Horse/Mt. Pilchuck Panorama
Thanks, that will be on my list this weekend. Maybe with Antony's I can entice my wife to join me, it's a bitter cold life out there.
