    i found this lonely tree on a bleak hillside near a place called wetwang in Yorkshire.just as storm front was rolling in.so just time for a couple of shots

    i wasnt a big fan of the rule of thirds for this shot as i like the tree position in the middle.

    I like the color in the first shot and do like the rule of thirds positioning of the tree. I wonder if by showing a bit more of the foreground and sky you will get more of the desolate feeling that you captured in the second crop.

    Paul I like both images, 2 alittle bit more. I cant help but wonder if the clouds were moving. that looks like a great shot for the nd filter and a loooong exposure. super shots indeed.

    thanks for the feed back everyone.yes the clouds were moving and at quite a pace as well.ive got another image that i'm working on that i'll try that on.
