    Foggy Morning - C&C appreciated

We had a warm foggy morning so hubby and I headed to the back of our property to see how things looked at the lake. I took this shot and have a few questions for you.

    - Does it look overprocessed? I used an "effect" that I kind of liked but I spotted a little bit of aberration?? and had no idea how to fix that.

    - Is it oversaturated? I backed off on the saturation but I've looked at it too long.

    - Is the composition pleasing? I would have liked to have shown the water as it went around the point of land on the bottom left but the weeds were so thick and there was an island of mud that just looked messy.

I figured someone would ask about B&W so I provided one although I like the color better.

Yes, I like the colour one better too. Needed to look at it in full size to appreciate it properly I think the PP is fine.

Terri this processing looks good to me. I think you did ok to back off the saturation . I have found that a lot of my deer pics were there is heavy fog or mist that the foreground becomes over saturated. I think the composition could be improved, like if maybe one of Joes' Black Swanns were swimming in out of the mist... I like the color better.... almost always.
I feel certain that ,that area is going to produce some excellent nature pics.

    Hi Terri,
I like the colour version too.
The only thing I would consider is cloning out some the grass on the lefthand side. I've circled the area I was thinking of; I maybe wrong, but I do find it a little distracting.
    Other than that, well done.

    Hi Terri.

I like the composition and would not change it. It really gives the sense and feeling of a foggy morning. The image does not look over-processed to me. You may want to try reducing the saturation of just the reds by a small amount to see if that appeals to you.

    Not at all.

    Is the composition pleasing?
Yes, but not compelling or memorable, at least not for me.

Quite often that would be me, but I prefer the color one in this case.

I like it, Terri. The fog makes the mood and image for me.

As for cloning out some branches. I am not sure.

    I like it,
saw it and straight up said No to all your questions.

Then I read on and found everyone else said the same thing.

Thank you for putting the shot up, and didn't say,
The colour one is best for me.

Sorry, no swans. The best I can do is what might be Joe's favorite duck although it's hard to tell for sure. Not happy with the shot because the grass is out of focus.

Thanks EVERYONE for your kind words and feedback.

John, I'm on the fence about the cloning. I left them because I kind of liked the symmetry of them from the corner. I'd probably have to do the cloning and then compare side by side to decide. But thanks for the suggestion which is always welcome.

As always, I appreciate all of you taking time to comment.
