It has certainly been a grey time, Bryn.
I haven't taken any outside photos so far this year!
Those horses certainly give a bit of lift to what would otherwise have been a rather dull and flat photo.
I suppose you could try adding a little bit of Local Contrast Enhancement; but I fear it could be over the top and ruin the atmosphere.

Obviously, Bryn, it depends on what you wanted to achieve but, for me, local contrast helps to bring more clarity to your subject (the hall), and also gives a bit more depth to the scene. I would also darken the sky a little to suit the weather, and add a bit more of it so that the tops of the flagpole and tree were not so close to the edge of the frame. E.g. -
