New version of nature close up, C&C please

Apologize for reposting, but my previous thread seems to have died off / dragged on too long. Just wanted to post the new version for C&C. (Old thread is here with the old version Nature close-up shot. C&C please ) I figured it would be ok to repost since it's a "new" version. If reposting is not allowed in this case, please let me know.

I'm hoping to get feedback on the LCE / contrast / sharpness / color saturation etc of this new PP version. Do you think this is overdone, or just right, or underdone? Please offer honest input as usual, thank you!

Technically OK Matt; but I can't get over excited about the subject.

Maybe the red brown leaf is at the wrong angle. Currently it is 'looking downwards'; top left corner to bottom right. Possibly having it looking 'upwards' may be more pleasing.

Maybe, simply a 90 degree rotation would help?

The straw coloured dead leaves intersect with it at right angles, approx, which also adds to a rather 'flat look'.

Thanks for the feedback, Geoff. I'll play around with orientation in LR and see if anything you suggest looks better to me. I have plenty to learn about composition and editing, etc, so it's just practice, practice, practice (and get c&c )
