    Mini Competition #12

    Round 12 ...

    Same as the first eleven!

    Here's how it works ...

    - You good folks post images in the thread

    - When we get 10 images I attach a voting poll

    - After 3 days the poll closes and the winner is declared!

    Too easy eh?

Limit of 1 image per post, and 2 image posts per person. Theme is nothing in particular, but should be appropriate to this forum (but I won't be getting too critical about this bit).

    Tree--Around Midnight

Since I entered "A Tree in NYC" in competition #8, I will now cross the Atlantic and enter this tree in Portugal.

Nice tree pic; can a 40D take an ef-s lens, because I found out one of them is very sharp and cheap. Can't remember which one though.

40D will work with both Ef and Ef-s lenses. You can't use an Ef-s lens with full frame.

    Re: Mini Competition #12

Can't use it with a large forward moving mirror, like mine But I'm disabled and have very little money so can't afford a 20D and I don't even want anything less.

Canon have a small but growing series of EF-S lenses available, ranging from inexpensive kit lenses to very good high-quality lenses with image stabilization. There’s even a very interesting 60mm macro lens with an EF-S mount. The super wide angle EF-S 10-22mm 3.5-4.5 USM (roughly 16-35mm coverage if it were full frame) is particularly well regarded, as is the EF-S 17-55 2.8 IS USM, which is an L lens in all but build quality and name.
