    Hey Randy
For me the high key on this particular shot just does not work. You just loose the beauty of the flower - details are lost, the smooth creamy texture of the orchid is not served (in my opinion) by high key, details get blown out (. I see that your light source was the window and white paper - that's a lot of back-light. If you have a flash you might try something different for lighting. Just one man's thoughts.

I have considered reshooting, This is my first attempt at high key and was not happy with the washed out look of the pedicel and buds, but am satisfied with translucence of the flower itself. Back to the drawing board
