Too much of a good thing...is still good

I thought I would share a few shots from Christmas eve. I am still working on the "Family" shots (don't know if I will ever get them good enough to post here), but here are a couple of our snacks.

    C&C always welcome.

Red raspberries stuffed with white chocolate.

The last food photo is really nice, Jon. If I had taken it, I surely would have made the cross section in focus. I like that it's the foreground crust and sugar that's in focus instead of the cross section. Even so, the cross section is not too out of focus.

I also like the busy background. It's so out of focus that you can't tell what it is and doesn't interfere with the rest of the image, yet it's so busy that the implication is that this dish is part of a festive occasion.

    Well done!

Thanks Mike. The raspberries tasted better than they look in the pics(I apparently have trouble with reds). The Pumpkin roll was yummy also.

I was called away to do my own cooking, Jon. When I realized that I hadn't finished my post, I edited it to add more comments. But that was after you responded. Please be sure to review it again, as it's very complimentary.

Jon, you are surely killing any hope that I might not gain a pound or three through the season. Nicely done.

I could gain weight just by looking at these delicious treats.

My wife keeps saying that "WE" (meaning "Richard") need to lose weight.

I counter by agreeing and saying that I will start after New Years Day.

Unfortunately, since she has mentioned this at least once a day throughout the Holiday Season, I don't think that my stalling will cause her to forget what I said!

Well, I have a few day's grace left until doomsday... Hmmm... Wonder what goodies are sitting in the Fridge
